Showdown

New for Nationals 2012, we are introducing our Showdown.  This will take place after the National competition.  We then will take the top 10 solos in the Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior Divisions - WITHOUT REPETITION OF DANCERS - and they will compete again to qualify for the Dance Off. The exact time of the Showdown will be determined shortly before Nationals.

Dance Off

The Dance Off will take place on the last day of Nationals. In order to determine the Overall High Score winners, we will Dance Off in all competitive divisions – Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior. We will take the top three scoring routines without repetition of dancers* in solo, duet/trio, small group, large group and super group. There must be a minimum of three routines in any one category to dance off in that category. These routines will compete before a panel of judges who will rate each routine 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

• Without repetition of dancers - a routine must not have a dancer compete in a category more than once. For example, any one dancer may not be in Petite Small Group. Tap and Petite Small Group Jazz. However, dancers may compete in different age groups within the same category. For example, Petite Small Group and Junior Small Group.

As the week progresses, the top scoring dancers and/or routines (top 5, 10, etc) will be posted in random order. The posted list will change as more routines are performed. As additional routines perform, other routines already listed may be removed from the list as their scores may no longer be high enough to reach the final top 3. The Finalists for the Dance-off will be announced at the pertinent awards ceremony as well as being posted conspicuously.

Ticket To Broadway will retain ALL music until the completion of the National Competition.

If for any reason you cannot compete in the dance-off, Ticket To Broadway will contact the fourth place contestant(s) to compete in the Dance-off.
